The majority Rome’s tourists visit the city to explore its amazing monuments, museums, and churches and therefore its beautiful beaches are often forgotten about.
If you come to Rome in search of fun sea and frolics you can head to Ostia, Fiumiciona and Fregene. You’re sure to get a tan in these great beaches! These three locations are located in the centre of a 24km stretch of sandy beaches. These beaches offer loads of excellent entertainment too.
Ostia is probably Rome’s most popular beach and it is only about 20 miles from the city. Climb its sand dunes or do a spot of fishing here.
Please note that some parts of Ostia Beach are private.
